Cuties Kills Kids (not substantiated)

I love oranges. Who doesn’t? And mini oranges like Cuties are a great snack. Lately they have been targeting children with their tagline Kids Love Cuties. But in their most recent spot…they completely overshadow any benefits of the product with a totally bonehead move. They show a child laying down on the couch, devouring a small bite sized orange, with a message stamped across the screen that states “eating while laying down may be a choking hazzard”. What?

After I saw this spot all I could think about was kids dying from eating oranges. Nice work Cuties!

Ka-Bar: Hardcore

These new ads from knife company Ka-Bar show the stories of “hard core lives and hard core knives”. Pretty sick use of tattoo-style graphic animation to showcase sick stories. I’m digging it. You should too. Go get one!

JP Auclair Street Sesh

I don’t know about you but personally I think the best part about the approach of winter is the sick ski-porn that floods our bar room televisions. I happened to see this vid of JP Auclair at my local watering hole…

Sick.

Octopus Invades

This video is crazy. The effing octopus actually comes out of the water, walks on land, and heads straight for the crowd of people snapping photos. (I hope it eats the hick lady chatting away at about 1:15).

Burton and Mountain Dew…Sustainable.

This is a righteous collab between Burton and Mountain Dew. They have just announced a joint effort to produce sustainable products for the 2012/2013 season. The two brands have teamed up to create sustainable fabrics out of recycled plastic bottles. This new technology will be used in the making of apparel and outerwear for the shred community.
