Okay, we’re slightly disappointed that it’s not some hot half-naked babe in a bikini with the Automated Man logo behind here. It’s just a big shoe, but it’s still pretty killer. Check out the video of the World’s Largest Lite Brite being made.

Your friends at AutomatedMan run the political spectrum from tree-hugging to kill-em-all-and-let-God-decide. One thing we can unite behind? John Stewart.

With about a month and half left in the baseball season, it looks like the races in every division are heating up. Not to mention the wild card races. As of this morning there are 18 teams that have more than a mathematical chance to make the playoffs. Are the Yankees really going to run away with the division? No. The Rays and Red Sox will be making runs. Can the Angels finally shed the Rangers? Can Vladimir Guerrero get healthy enough to carry the Angels? And what about the Dodgers? They have come back to the pack in a hurry. Is Manny Ramirez slumping because he is no longer on performance enhancing drugs? And the Phillies. They most certainly have let the Braves and Marlins back in the race. But will Ryan Howard go monster again like he has in past years? Tigers, White Sox and Twins should come down to the last week. Cardinals seem to have finally found their legs under Albert Pujols and Matt Holliday, but the Cubs and Brewers have not rolled over and died. Most of America’s young people think Baseball is boring. Too slow. Not enough action. But it is so steeped in tradition. It is still Americas National pastime. There is so much beauty and grace in the game. Even if you are a “moderate” fan, you have got to love the next 45 days. They will be exciting.

But is it the coaching staff or some of the heartless, gutless do nothing veterans on this USA Mens Soccer Team? The performance against Mexico was absolutely atrocious after the 11th minute mark. They played tentatively, without emotion and it looked like they were out of condition. Constantly they were out hustled and could not win a ball. Their passing was horrible and the number of unforced errors and turnovers had to be an all time high for a US Mens National Team. And the worse part of the game was how Mexico pushed them around without any retaliation. Where was their pride? They were embarrassed for 80 minutes and nobody from the coaching staff down to the players on the field could care less. I don’t consider myself an expert, but even as heartless and effortless as the US team played, they should have won this game. I am very disappointed in not only the outcome, 2-1, but the lackluster effort by the defense was unsettling. And how many shots on goal did the US have? One. And that was their lone goal. If this lackluster, passionless type of play persist, major changes need to be made and soon. You cant fire all the players, but Bocanegra needs to go. And Bradley should be put on notice. One more game like this one, and your gone as well.
